Verdon tree climbing, some practical tips

To fully enjoy your adventure in one of the Verdon’s tree climbing parks, here are some essential tips to keep in mind:

1. Book your seats in advance

The Verdon tree climbing parks attract many visitors, especially during school holidays and sunny weekends. Please call or book online to avoid disappointment on arrival.

2. Wear appropriate clothing

Good preparation requires the choice of clothing and equipment:
Shoes: Prefer closed sports shoes with good grip.
Clothing: Choose comfortable clothes that allow for a great freedom of movement. Pants or leggings are often more practical than shorts to avoid rubbing with the harness.
Accessories: Tie your long hair, avoid jewelry (watches, necklaces, rings) that could get caught or lost during the activity.

3. Think about your comfort and safety

Hydrate: Bring a gourd, especially if you plan to spend several hours in the trees. Some parks have rest areas or picnic areas where you can take a break.
Protect yourself from the sun: In summer, consider applying sunscreen and wearing a cap or sunglasses, especially if part of the course is in less shaded areas.
Listen to the instructions: Before you begin, a safety briefing is given by the instructors. It is crucial to understand the instructions and follow the rules, including the use of safety equipment such as harnesses and carabiners.

4. Adapt the course to your level

The Verdon tree climbing parks offer various routes, sorted by color (as for skiing) to indicate their level of difficulty Do not hesitate to ask the instructors for advice on choosing the route that will suit you best.

5. Plan a full day to explore the area

The Verdon tree climbing is a fantastic activity, but it can be even more memorable when combined with other activities:
Hiking: Many trails start from the areas where adventure parks are located.
Swimming: Cool off in nearby rivers or lakes after your session.
Cultural visits: Explore the charming Provencal villages such as Castellane, Gréoux-les-Bains or Beauvezer to discover local crafts and taste regional specialties.
